Trail Running

Do you like sports? The competition, to be fit? We offer some sports activities organized in our area:

February: The “Gormanda Blanca”. Organized by the Club Excursionista de Vilaller is a mountain race for snowshoeing. With the aim of promoting the practice of snowshoeing activities and enjoy the outdoors and landscapes of the area this race is organized open mode. Several refreshment points and wonderful snowy white landscapes give this proof of a special interest.

June: Skyrace Vallibierna. Mountain race start and finish in Vilaller. The first weekend of June is organized and offers the possibility to enjoy a Sunday of trail running in an environment of exceptional mountain. This test has several circuits:

– A distance of 11 Kms and 610 mtrs of positive slope. One way to enjoy a high mountain route and affordable for all public open trial.

– A more physically demanding option with a distance of 21 kms and 1,350 meters uphill climbs where the Comadelo peak. A challenge to reach the runners with a little more preparation and experience.

– The “top” version of the race, with 34 kilometers and 2,700 meters positive. Part of the circuit is part of the racing Mountain FEDME and is tested for skilled riders, with an open trial and with truly exceptional landscapes that put the rider in a top elevation of 2,500 meters in the pass of Vallibierna peak.

July: Triathlon Pont de Suert. A 10 short minutes in the town of Pont de Suert, is organized every year an Olympic triathlon with distances of 1,500 meter swimming in a very nice place, the lake of Escales. A 40 km cycling route crossing the Valley of Boí and a 10 kms career within the urban circuit Pont de Suert.

August: Pirinenca Night Trail. Also in Pont de Suert a night race with start and finish with two distances, 5 kms and 12 kms. A career very well organized with phosphorescent buoys that mark all the way and several aid stations with a very nice finish vermouth. Highly recommended the views from the highest point of the route. You’ll see the very beautiful town of Pont de Suert at night and other villages surrounding the area. This night trail is an excellent way to do sports and enjoy our country.
