Roda de Isábena is one of our favorite trips.This village, 40 kms far from Vilaller, is located at the top of a small mountain, next to the Isábena river.
Our favorite visit is the Cloister of the Cathedral. Trapezoidal arches decorated with murals.
By midcentury X Roda it became an Episcopal see giving to the town a certain splendor that even today can appreciate.
The village retains memories of its rich past and, walking calmly through the streets, we’ll reach the Cathedral of St. Vincent Martyr, another interesting visit. The Lombard Romanesque cathedral is open to the public.
Our favorite visit is the Cloister of the Cathedral. Trapezoidal arches decorated with murals. It is the most important cloister of Europe by the number of funerary inscriptions with 191 references. Within the cloister we find a restaurant where you can eat very well for a tight budget.
